The surreal story of Petrushka takes place in a festive Russian market place, where a puppet springs to life, becomes jilted, and commits a murder. Folk tunes, robust rhythm, primitive sounds, and sumptuous orchestration gush throughout the work. Don¡¯t forget to listen for the piano, which is written to be part of the orchestra. Christopher Warren-Green, Music Director of the London Chamber Orchestra, leads the podium; Korean Chamber Orchestra¡¯s Music Director Min Kim, a longtime friend of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, will join as guest concertmaster.

Christopher Warren-Green, conductor
- Music Director and Principal Conductor of the London Chamber Orchestra.
- Music Director of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina.
- Has been invited to conduct for the Royal Family on many occasions for more than thirty years.
- Conducted the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra Dublin, Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Orchestre National de Belgique, among many others.
- Prior to current post at the London Chamber Orchestra, served as Principal Conductor of the Camerata Resident Orchestra of the Megaron Athens and Chief Conductor of both the Nordiska Kammarorkestern and Jönköpings Sinfonietta.
- Summer festival engagements include the Boston Summer Arts Weekend Festival, the International Music Festival ¡®Chopin and his Europe¡¯, and the Enescu Festival.
- Has recorded extensively for Sony, Phillips, Virgin EMI, Chandos and Deustche Grammophon, and Signum Classics labels.

Piano / Farhad Badalbeyli

- Studied at the Moscow State Conservatory.
- Won prizes at the B.
