Lasting some 20 minutes, this Concerto requires delicate, subtle expressions of emotion and effortless singing from the piano part. Dang Thai Son, whose repertoire has mainly consisted of Chopin, Mozart, Schubert, Debussy, and Frank, will dazzle the audience again in his performance of the Mendelssohn Concerto with his famously lucid tone and musical pedaling. Dubbed ¡°Brahms¡¯s Pastoral Symphony¡±, Brahms Symphony No. 2 in D Major is as bright and idyllic as the autumn sunshine.</FONT></DIV>
