Principal Guest Conductor Sung Kwak leads the KBS Orchestra.&nbsp;</span><font face="Verdana" style="line-height: 1.5; font-size: 9pt;">Begin with Rossini¡¯s spirited William Tell Overture, then walk along&nbsp;</font><span style="line-height: 1.5; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt;">Brahms¡¯s Symphony No. 4 in e minor. This masterpiece is perhaps the most Brahmsian and most Germanic of Brahms¡¯s symphonies. This work, filled with anguish, resignation, and desolation, begins with a subject resembling a sigh in the first movement and arrives at a passacaglia passage that remembers the previous generation in the finale. Experience the light and dark in Rossini's and Brahms¡¯s works at the KBS Symphony Orchestra¡¯s subscription concert in June.&nbsp;</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="line-height: 1.5; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt;"><br></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="line-height: 1.5; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt;"><br></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana"><b>Conductor / Sung Kwak&nbsp;</b></font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Graduated from the Mannes College of Music with honors</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Has conducted the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, New York City Center¡¯s Joffrey Ballet, and Eglevsky Ballet</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Assistant Conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (1977-1980, during Robert Shaw¡¯s tenure)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">&nbsp; Assistant Conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra (1980-1993, during Lorin Maazel¡¯s tenure)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Music Director of the Austin Symphony Orchestra (1983-1996)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Artistic Director of the Oregon Sunriver Music Festival (1983-1993)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Music Director of the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra (1996-2003)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Music Director of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (2002-2003)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Principal Guest Conductor of the KBS Symphony Orchestra (2004-2006)</font></div><div style="text-align: left;"><font face="Verdana">- Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008</font><br></div><div><br></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div></div></span><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div><font face="Verdana"><br></font></div></div><br></div>
